How does Airo guarantee the safety of a balloon flight?

Experienced pilots and professional equipment

A balloon flight may seem like a calm and relaxing experience, but a lot of preparation goes on behind the scenes. That’s why we only work with professional equipment that is maintained and inspected according to applicable aviation regulations.

The pilot also plays a crucial role, of course. Thanks to the necessary training, licenses, and regular refresher courses, you are in safe hands with Airo from takeoff to landing.

The weather determines everything

A balloon flight is completely dependent on weather conditions. That’s why we closely monitor weather forecasts and carefully analyze each flight in advance.

In case of too much wind, unstable air, or other unfavorable conditions, a balloon flight will be postponed. Although this can sometimes be disappointing, we always choose safety above all. If necessary, we will plan a new date together.

Safe takeoff and landing

A hot air balloon travels with the wind. Therefore, takeoff and landing are particularly important moments during the flight.

Thanks to thorough preparation, an experienced pilot, and the support of our ground crew, this occurs in a controlled and safe manner. For passengers, it is often surprising how calm and comfortable a balloon flight feels.

Can everyone participate?

Ballooning is suitable for young and old. Children are welcome from the moment they are tall enough to safely look over the edge of the basket and understand the pilot’s instructions.

There is no maximum age. As long as you are mobile and can stand upright during the flight, you can usually participate. If in doubt or with specific medical questions, we recommend contacting us in advance. For safety reasons, we advise pregnant women against participating in a balloon flight.

Safe enjoyment is central

For us, a balloon flight is not only about beautiful views and unforgettable moments, but also about peace of mind. That’s why we take no risks and safety is central to every decision.

This way, you can enjoy a unique experience high above the landscape without worries, while we ensure a safe and professional framework from start to finish.
